A QUICK LOOK INTO SOME OF OUR AMATEUR ATHLETES AND THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Rachel Green was a three sport high school athlete, and a four year varsity basketball starter. She earned All District and Academic All State honors at Foster High School, while also becoming a member of the National Honors Society and PALS. Rachel was a two sport college student-athlete, graduating from DePauw University in their Management Fellows Business Honors Program.
Logan was awarded All State as a catcher for Katy Taylor, and was also selected to play in the State All Star Game. He trained with Coach Green in high school and during college. He originally signed with Mississippi State and then transferred to Dallas Baptist. Logan was the fifth catcher Coach Green has trained who has moved on to the NCAA division one level.
"We did it, we did it!" - Scott Bormaster's call to Coach Green after his son Brian got drafted by the Toronto Bluejays. During high school Brian was awarded All State honors while his high school team also won a State Championship. In college he earned All Conference at Tulane after transferring from Rice. Brian worked out with Coach Green throughout high school and in college.
"After my sophomore year on varsity I knew I needed to get bigger and stronger. For two and a half years I trained with Coach Green and packed on 40 pounds of muscle." - John Knust. During high school John earned All District honors multiple times at defensive end, and continued his football career at Texas Tech University. His high school senior year measurables included a 540 pound squat and a 350 pound bench.
Travis a college student-athlete recently graduated from one of the very best academic schools in the country MIT. He overcame a season ending collar bone injury his sophomore year in high school, and through hard work achieved numerous awards his senior year. These awards included: All Area and Academic All State, while he was also a member of National Honors Society, PALs, and a Eagle Scout. Travis trained with Coach Green for five years, starting in middle school and throughout high school.
Relly and Wesly both trained with Coach Green for four years, while competing for Bellaire High School. Relly earned high school All American Honors and went on to play for TCU, while Wesly earned ALL District Honors and continued his baseball career at Baylor University. Coach Green has trained ten Bellaire high school baseball players who have been inducted into their Hall of Fame.
"To my trainer and good friend, thank you for your support and encouragement! I wouldn't be the same person or athlete without you." - Brian Womac II. Brian began working out with Coach Green in middle school and continued throughout high school. During this time he transitioned from a running back to a linebacker, and earned Defensive MVP for district 19 - 5A in 2012. He became one of the top rated linebackers in Texas, and received a full athletic scholarship to Rice University. Brian's stats included 4.6 forty, 36" vertical leap, and a 4.1 pro shuttle, all at 220 pounds.
"Working with Coach Green was the best decision I made for my son Robbie during high school." - Willie Frost at the Houston Touchdown Club Awards Banquet. Robbie became an All State offensive tackle for Stratford High School, and only the second offensive linemen to be nominated for the "Offensive Player of the Year" award by the Houston Touchdown Club. Robbie's high school stats included 86 pancakes during his senior season. He left high school for Texas A&M at 6'6" and 305 pounds. He squatted 585 pounds and benched 385 pounds, while running a personal best 5.0 forty! Robbie accomplished all this with Coach Green after recovering from a broken arm he suffered from an accident during the fall of 10th grade.
Rodney (#2) was an athlete that could do it all, and he received All State honors in football, track, and basketball. "I started working with Coach Green during the summer before my junior year in high school. His cross training methods greatly improved my agility, strength, and conditioning. His sports nutrition program improved my performance and recovery, and taught me the value of taking care of my body." Rodney Shanks.
John was an award winning two sport athlete earning First Team All District honors in Football as a linebacker, and First Team Class 6A - All City in Baseball as a third basemen. " I trained with Coach Green throughout high school for both football and baseball. We trained in the gym, on the track, and on the field for four years. His sports nutrition program also helped me get into the best shape of my life, and his recruiting program helped me create multiple college opportunities.. I now play for Trinity ." John Tucker
Cameron was an exceptionally gifted athletic athlete with speed and quickness who earned the Defensive Back MVP award for district 19-5A. He led the district in interceptions and returns for touchdowns. Cameron received a full ride offer to Old Dominion of Conference USA, but decided on accepting a preferred walk-on to Alabama. " Coach Green was my trainer, strength and speed coach throughout high school. He did a great job helping me get stronger while also improving my speed, footwork, and reaction." Cameron Crawford
Andrew was a talented athlete who earned first team All District honors as a tight end his sophomore year, and also as a linebacker his senior year, after recovering from a knee injury his junior year. Through hard and consistent work Andrew accepted an offer to play Division one football for Tulsa in Conference USA. "I really appreciate you coach. I wouldn't have gotten this far, and couldn't have done it without you. " Andrew Jadick
Georgia was a two sport athlete in high school earning All State honors in swimming and Academic All State. A member of the National Honors Society and numerous honors clubs during high school, Georgia is now continuing her academic pursuits at DePauw University in their Media Honors program.
Will Hutchins earned All District honors at Bellaire High School and continued his college career at the University of Houston. He graduated from high school as one of the strongest baseball players in greater Houston, benching over 300 pounds and squatting 450 pounds. Will trained with Coach Green for five years, starting the summer after seventh grade. Will is a Bellaire high school Hall of Fame inductee.
"Coach Green started working with me on recruiting during the spring of my junior year. Prior to his involvement, I only had a few schools showing interest, but no firm offers. Within two months we had twelve top level universities showing serious interest! Throughout the recruiting process, Coach Green developed a game plan and strategy that taught me how to successfully market my skills, respond, and interact with college coaches. From emails and phone calls, to resumes and questionnaires, plus unofficial and official visits, I was well prepared and eventually received multiple offers. Working with Coach Green was a great experience, and the results were excellent." - RJ Ammons. In October of his senior year, the two time All State Track and Cross Country athlete committed to Harvard University.
Braxton started working out with Coach Green in the summer following 9th grade. He had suffered a torn labrum the previous football season, and from that point forward decided to concentrate all his efforts on baseball. His high school team won three consecutive SPC State Championships, with Braxton earning All State honors his senior season. Braxton also played for Kyle Chapman during the summers, and is now playing for Kansas State on scholarship as a dual position player - center field and pitching.
