Coach Green's track and field workouts train and condition athletes to move faster, react quicker, and perform at 100% efficiency for an entire game. This requires consistent training to improve cardiovascular endurance while emphasizing sport and position specific drills which are necessary for great game time performances. Building a faster, quicker, and more athletic athlete in great shape, is a primary focus within the track and field program, and is and integral part of Coach Green's Total Package Training Program.
Coach Green evaluates each athlete's strengths and weaknesses, and develops a specific training protocol to improve their sprint mechanics, technique, and sport position needs. The specific exercises Coach Green incorporates into his track and field workouts are designed to make each athlete a more competitive and complete athlete by improving their speed, quickness, footwork, balance, explosion, reactions, vertical leap, recovery and conditioning.
Athletes train at a very fast pace with limited rest between exercises. This type of training improves on field performance and recovery, which is especially important in fast paced games. Consistent hydration and proper nutrition go hand in hand with Coach Green's athletic performance training, and an athlete's ability to go 100% for an entire workout, practice, or game. In addition, all athletes are taught proper sport specific nutrition for training and game time conditions.
Coach Green's track and field knowledge, experience, and personal attention to detail provides each athlete with the ongoing adjustments they need to consistently improve and perform their best. The individual attention and small group training sessions allow for a more efficient workout and technique corrections. Coach Green always takes into account each athlete's current level of fitness and development as these factors are especially important during their formative years. Coach Green has trained athletes that have run 4.4 forties, 6.2 sixties, 3.9 pro shuttles, and jumped over 40" on their vertical leap.
